Fatality Reported After Linkin Park Show In Africa

Bummer. Someone will inevitably comment below that the person deserved it…listening to such garbage. No one deserves death. Unless they’re drinking and driving.

Someone died yesterday at Linkin Park’s show at the Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa.

That’s fucked. Its probably because bands don’t ever play there, so when a band does, shit gets wild, son.

An advertising tower apparently toppled over injuring a number of spectators.

A female fan was crushed to death under the tower.

In a statement, Linkin Park says “We wish to express our deep sadness and concern for those injured and our heartfelt condolences to the family of the fan who died as a result of her injuries.”

The band continued: “Though we have had no relationship with the sponsor or the entity responsible for erecting the structure, we take the safety of our fans very seriously and our thoughts are with all of those who were affected by this tragedy.”

Usually, my ear drums die when I hear Linkin Park, but it has nothing to do with a tower.
